Faction rep is per-faction (max +3000 / min −3000). Here's how to climb fast and recover from a tanked rep.
Tiers

Fastest grind
- Daily quests (~500 rep total/day).
- Sell provisions (see guide) — 1 rep / 20 gold.
- Faction patrol kills (for opposing factions only).
Recovering from Hated
Hand in Letters of Pardon, dropped by faction bounty hunters themselves (yes, you have to be hunted to recover). Each letter is worth 250 rep.
