Placement rules
- Place the wharf foundation on a flat shoreline tile. The blueprint turns red if the ground slopes too much.
- There must be at least 4 water tiles of clear depth in front of the wharf, or you cannot launch hulls bigger than a rowboat.
- Wharf must be within 8 tiles of a Workbench Tier 2 to use its crafting menu.
Best wharf locations
Driftwood Cove (river mouth), PT9 east pier ruins, and Brass Bay are the three confirmed-deep tiles where Galleon-class hulls can launch. Place anywhere else and you may be stuck at Brigantine forever.Step-by-step
- Stand on shoreline, open build menu (
B), select Wharf. - Rotate so the pier extends seaward; the dotted outline shows ship spawn zone.
- Confirm placement — the wharf builds over 60 seconds (or 10s with a helper hammering).
- Open the wharf to access the ship blueprint UI.
